The commercial will air until the first week of November. If you are in the Valdosta or Tifton area, keep an "eye" out for us on one of these cable networks: CNN, ESPN, FOX News, Lifetime, TBS, TNT, The Weather Channel, Food Network, USA, HGTV, TLC and Hallmark. Or, click here to view the video.
- Returning to the ReSTOR Platform September 21, 2009
Ophthalmologists are diagnosing and treating cataracts at an earlier stage and patients are living longer and expecting optimum visual performance. I started out as a comprehensive ophthalmologist 10 years ago, and then developed a referral network for cataract surgery. I currently do 20 to 30 cataract procedures a week between my three locations in South Georgia.
- Full-time laser good news for South Georgians May 7, 2009
As LASIK surgery becomes a more popular way for correcting vision, the demand for the service in South Georgia has increased. Dr. Scott Petermann is meeting that demand. Petermann, an ophthalmologist with the Affinity Health Group, added his own laser to his Valdosta office in February 2007. Now, patients can choose to have all of their pre-operation and post-operation visits in Tifton or Valdosta while having their actual surgery in Valdosta. Previously, the laser used in the procedure was not available on a full-time basis - leaving little flexibility in scheduling.
